Well done to Culture & Leisure and Commerce & Employment for promoting ‘Tasty Walks’, which will incorporate trying local products and food into scenic walks of the island. Thirty five Tasty Walks will take place in 2013 in the winter to spring months which have apparently seen decreasing tourist numbers. This past week has been Guernsey’s walking week and the guided walks have been very popular- I can only imagine throw in some good food and they will be even more so! Just fingers crossed for the weather eh?

The photo of the scallops is from the Celebration of the Sea day in Sark. Scallops as fresh as they come and so big, seafood chowder and live lobsters cooked in front of you– god it’s all so fresh and so tasty and really good value! There was similar food at the Sark folk festival too… infact when I think of Sark I think of the freshest seafood… wouldn’t it be awesome if people visited Guernsey and left thinking of about how incredible our food is?
